This turns the home into a source of income for the homeowner, and puts the home’s equity to work for them. There are some things that must be considered when one is thinking about taking advantage of the benefits a reverse mortgage has to offer. However, it is important for the homeowner to do what is right for them, and not necessarily their heirs.

It is important to weigh both the pros and the cons and determine what is right for you in your specific situation and circumstances. Reverse mortgages can be an invaluable benefit for many, but is not right for everyone.
